Symbolism and History: Protection & Harmony: Historically, Dosojin statues were placed at village borders to protect travelers from harm and to bring harmony, love, and fertility to couples. Heritage Design: This design was originally created by our studio, Irodori Mingeisha, during the Showa era. For decades, these figurines were delivered to local souvenir shops in Matsumoto city to be cherished by travelers. This innovative method results in a charming, rounded form with a soft, warm touch that is surprisingly light.

Since it's impossible to show all the patterns for the red and blue varieties, please order them as an assortment, and we'll select one for you. We are also working on bringing back some of our past designs, such as "Fireworks," "Goldfish," "Jizo," and "Fireflies," so please look forward to those updates. 約40年前の手漉き友禅和紙を使ったお品です。 友禅和紙を着物のように重ねてあります。 中に小さなチャイムカランコロンを入れて手毬のように仕上げました。 和紙の風合いを出すため、艶出し等の加工はしておりません。 　 高さ約10cmです。 中に入っているチャイムが小さい為、他のチャイムカランコロンより、音が小さいです。

The washi paper used is also handmade in Japan.
