Each piece is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind, so the pattern may differ slightly from the product photos. We appreciate your understanding. Since it's impossible to show all the patterns for the red and blue varieties, please order them as an assortment, and we'll select one for you. We are also working on bringing back some of our past designs, such as "Fireworks," "Goldfish," "Jizo," and "Fireflies," so please look forward to those updates. Because of this handmade process, each one is a unique, one-of-a-kind item—no two pieces have the exact same pattern.

We placed a small Chime Karan-koron inside and finished it in the style of a traditional temari handball. The patterned design is on the sides. To preserve the authentic texture of the washi paper, we haven't applied any gloss or finish. It stands about 10 cm tall. Because the chime inside is small, it produces a softer sound compared to our other Chime Karan-koron products.

It is a method primarily used to dye patterns onto cloth. Its official name is "Ryukyu Bingata," where "bin" means color and "gata" means pattern. The technique developed during the Ryukyu Kingdom era, incorporating Okinawa's unique sensibilities and climate into dyeing methods introduced through trade with China and Southeast Asia. At the time, it was primarily used for the clothing of royalty and the gentry. Features of Bingata Bingata has the following characteristics: Vivid and Rich Colors: The bright colors, which stand out even under Okinawa's strong sunlight, are a defining feature. The primary use of pigments creates a crisp color scheme. Okinawan Motifs: You'll often see bold and vibrant patterns inspired by Okinawa's nature and culture. For example, flowers like hibiscus and deigo, birds, fish, and seasonal symbols are frequently depicted. Unique Dyeing Techniques: While using stencils for patterns, known as "katazome," is common, there's also a technique called "tsutsubiki" where patterns are drawn freehand without a stencil.
